There has been a massive uproar after a 26-year-old woman was raped inside a parked bus at the Swargate Depot in Pune. The incident occurred on the early morning of Feb 25. The incident has highlighted various shortcomings at the bus depot with parking of scrapped buses at the depot. Condoms, old clothes, and alcohol bottles were found in scrapped buses at the station. Shiv Sena UBT Leader claimed that the depot was being used for illicit activities.
