Now in his fourth season, Toronto Raptors point guard Malachi Flynn is using former teammate Kyle Lowry as an example of a career path he’d like to take.
(via Toronto Raptors):
Reporter: “There’s been examples of point guards at kind of a tough position, there’s only one, usually. There are examples of guys who’ve taken until year three, year four, year five sometimes even, to get minutes, get an opportunity, and then blossom. Do you kind of take some encouragement from that and still see a long horizon here?”
Flynn: “Of course. I remember even K-Low telling me that a little bit about him in Houston, and then him coming here. It took him a couple years to kind of get his feet together, feel comfortable, and actually start playing how he knew he could play. So, definitely feeling confident about the year. I know it’s a big year, definitely not putting pressure on myself, but just looking forward for it.”
