The Boston Celtics are adding Svi Mykhailiuk in a reported one-year deal, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Upon entering the league in 2018 as a second-round prospect, Mykhailiuk proceeded to bounce around several teams as a journeyman, playing in six different NBA teams already.

He splitted his last season of play in separate tenures for both the New York Knicks and the Charlotte Hornets. He was dealt by the Knicks to the Hornets in midseason as part of the multi-team trade that saw the club landing Josh Hart.

Mykhailiuk averaged 6.9 points, 1.7 boards and 1.7 assists on the previous 2022-23 campaign, and his 42.4 percent mark from three (per 3.1 attempts per game) can further strengthen the Celtics’ marksmanship from deep as the franchise ranked sixth last year in three-point efficiency (37.7 percent).

It was reported last month that Mykhailiuk was torn between choosing Panathinaikos and the Celtics. As such, his pick of landing in the Beantown just continues his NBA career and obtain that chance to contribute on a title-contending squad.
